Win a copy of WALKING DEAD!

I’ve gotten copies of WALKING DEAD, book 4 of the Walker Papers, in the mail. Throw your name in the hat (ie, leave a comment) and next Tuesday I’ll draw a random number and send the corresponding commenter a copy of the book. :)

My first book came out 4 years, 6 weeks ago. Including the comics as one unit, what you see there are 15 books with my name on ‘em.

Today, I am officially impressed with myself.

  1. I can’t wait for this book too come out. Counting down the days until the release :)

  2. I’ve been waiting to get myself a copy of Walking Dead ever since I saw it on Amazon. Can’t wait to read it. I love how she always gets herself into trouble just when things seem to finally be going her way… and it’s never a small mess, but an earthquake & tsunami sized disaster! :)

  3. Read Urban Shaman as an Ebook and I got hooked. I’ve read all the Walker books and the Negotiator books! Your work rocks! Your characters take on a life of their own and they are powerful women. I’ll be holding on to these books for my daughter when she’s older.

  4. I started with Negotiator Series and you have been one of my all time favorite authors ever since. I couldn’t get enough of the Walker series and am still trying to find good fodder books until Walking Dead comes out. Keep up the good work, but please…more books??? ;)

  5. I’m so glad I found your books! I absolutely love them! The Walker series reminds me of the Dresden Files. They’re fantastic! I bought the first book one day after work, started reading it and then ended up going back to the bookstore and getting the other two and then picking up the rest of your books they had on the shelf as well. You’re a very talented writer and I love all of the books you’ve come out with so far. I can’t wait for the next in the Walker series! Happy 4th Anniversary too! Keep writting!

  6. I can’t wait! I absolutely love the Walker Papers! They are among my very favorite fantasy novels. I am so excited for Walking Dead:)

  7. Ms. Murphy, you are single-handedly responsible for my being late on more occasions that I am comfortable admitting.

See, I got so wrapped up in the Walker Papers, that I found myself pulling off the road several times a day (I deliver food and produce to restaurants) to sneak in another chapter. Cumulatively speaking, it adds up to a couple hours each day…oops!

Plus, add in the fact that I quite often find myself up reading at 3:00 AM and I think you begin to understand what a wonderful writer you are.

    Many thanks for your work!

    • The “I stayed up too late” confessions are, I admit, among my favorites from readers. I love books that do that to me, and it makes me all warm and happy to do it to other people. Muahaha. :)

  8. This is one of my favorite novel series ever. I was so excited when I found out you were writing another Walker book. I can’t wait to read it!

  9. I stumbled over Urban Shaman via the local library and have the rest of the books ordered through the inter library loan system. So *fingers crossed* I’d love to be the lucky one drawn out of the hat here. I really wish the local library system had more of your books as every time I go to buy one the children manage to find a book they want… and they come first.

  10. i loooved Urban Shaman. I literally ran out to get the next two. I was so excited to hear there would be a fourth (Thank you). Of course, I want to be entered into the contest too

  11. I love the way you brought Walker into the world of Shamanism and the ride has been fun ever since

  12. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your books. I have read all of Walker Papers, expect for the new one, and I have also read Heart of Stone series. I can’t wait! Thanks for writing book four.!!!

  13. I remember first picking up “Urban Shaman” at the Denver airport while hurrying to make my next connection. It was a little gem discovered in the masses. I was sure glad I made the pit stop because this is one of my favorite series of all time and I keep (impatiently) waiting for the next book to come out. There’s always unexpected twists and turns that for once I can’t predict, and this is one of the few books I find myself trying to stifle my laughter. Nothing else like them! Gotta love them!!
