Win a copy of WALKING DEAD!
I’ve gotten copies of WALKING DEAD, book 4 of the Walker Papers, in the mail. Throw your name in the hat (ie, leave a comment) and next Tuesday I’ll draw a random number and send the corresponding commenter a copy of the book. :)

My first book came out 4 years, 6 weeks ago. Including the comics as one unit, what you see there are 15 books with my name on ‘em.
Today, I am officially impressed with myself.

What a relief. Our local library will be closed for 3 months for asbestos removal. I was starting to panic. Nothing like the fear of running out of new books to read.

No kidding my Mom has asked me everytime I’ve talked to her in the last two months when the next Walker Papers book comes out. And everytime I’ve told her “Mom it’s in September.” My Mom “OH! Do I have to wait that long!” I can’t remember how many times she told me to have patience when I was a kid. Now I’m telling her patience Mom, patience. I’m really looking forward to reading this book as much as my mom is.

I love this series. I read some of them when I was overseas in Iraq because they reminded me of my home at the time which was just North of Seattle. Besides Jo, my favorite character is Coyote, I hope we get to find out what happened to him. Can’t wait for Walker #4.

Ta da, it’s the hair stylist again! It’s Bomb dot com that Walking dead is coming out. How many more do you intend on adding to this series (As well as the others)? I feel in love with this series first, of course it was among the first you have written, but I have been there since the beginning.

I’ve been waiting to get myself a copy of Walking Dead ever since I saw it on Amazon. Can’t wait to read it. I love how she always gets herself into trouble just when things seem to finally be going her way… and it’s never a small mess, but an earthquake & tsunami sized disaster! :)

Read Urban Shaman as an Ebook and I got hooked. I’ve read all the Walker books and the Negotiator books! Your work rocks! Your characters take on a life of their own and they are powerful women. I’ll be holding on to these books for my daughter when she’s older.

I’m so glad I found your books! I absolutely love them! The Walker series reminds me of the Dresden Files. They’re fantastic! I bought the first book one day after work, started reading it and then ended up going back to the bookstore and getting the other two and then picking up the rest of your books they had on the shelf as well. You’re a very talented writer and I love all of the books you’ve come out with so far. I can’t wait for the next in the Walker series! Happy 4th Anniversary too! Keep writting!

Ms. Murphy, you are single-handedly responsible for my being late on more occasions that I am comfortable admitting.
See, I got so wrapped up in the Walker Papers, that I found myself pulling off the road several times a day (I deliver food and produce to restaurants) to sneak in another chapter. Cumulatively speaking, it adds up to a couple hours each day…oops!
Plus, add in the fact that I quite often find myself up reading at 3:00 AM and I think you begin to understand what a wonderful writer you are.
Many thanks for your work!
David

The “I stayed up too late” confessions are, I admit, among my favorites from readers. I love books that do that to me, and it makes me all warm and happy to do it to other people. Muahaha. :)

I stumbled over Urban Shaman via the local library and have the rest of the books ordered through the inter library loan system. So *fingers crossed* I’d love to be the lucky one drawn out of the hat here. I really wish the local library system had more of your books as every time I go to buy one the children manage to find a book they want… and they come first.

I remember first picking up “Urban Shaman” at the Denver airport while hurrying to make my next connection. It was a little gem discovered in the masses. I was sure glad I made the pit stop because this is one of my favorite series of all time and I keep (impatiently) waiting for the next book to come out. There’s always unexpected twists and turns that for once I can’t predict, and this is one of the few books I find myself trying to stifle my laughter. Nothing else like them! Gotta love them!!
