Hey Catie - I have, admittedly belatedly, just finished Urban Shaman and shocked to discover that trip to Alaska is already 3 years ago. Where goeth the time, etc. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I found it brilliant. Turns out that the delay was in perfect synchronicity (what else)! Your incredible descriptions of Joanne Walker's shamanic adventures in multi-dimensional realities are sure to influence my contemplated volume(s) on how to interface with various chronic conditions with healing intent. So, Congrats, and Thanks, and keep on with your terrific pen.
Love from Emily's Mom

Hey,
your answers are realy interesting. I'm writing (Or atempting to write) a 5 book series, I've completed book one and have started book two. The one thing I am unsure of is how to go about publishing them, I was going to get book 2 finshed before I start looking, your answers about synopses have helped alot.

How would i go about finding an agent or pulishing house to look at my books, (well I think they are mine, the voice in my head says otherwise), also is medical health a point condsidered when taking on new authors as I have been ill with M.E for the last 14 years. My health can yoyo quite alot so some weeks i can write a lot others i can't write at all?

Any comments would be helpful.

I'm writing a story that I have the beginning of and know the end. In fact I have the big part near the end of the story that I want to happen done (or--close enough). However, I have no idea what to put b/n the start and the end. How could I write a synopsis with that?

Right now, I'm just writing whatever pops into my head whenever it does. Alot of times I get stuck. I've recently got out of the Block (didn't write for 3 or 4 wks.) and then got bogged down again.

Do you have any suggestions?

I read yours and a few other authors' contributions to this project on LJ. I appreciate it greatly. This is a largely mysterious area of authoring and I wasn't sure if these powerful relics required blood sacrifice to utilize or merely an incantation and a bit of finger-twiddling.

I was desperately afraid the planets and stars had to be in a certain alignment and I'm so horrible at astrology/astronomy that I'd likely have ended up with a recipe book or a chapbook of dirty limericks instead of Ye Olde Mysterious Synopsis.

Outlines are similarly mysterious. Are they bulleted in format? Silver or lead? Must the bullets be hand-forged or can they be bought in bulk? Do the plot points need to be shot in the heart or will just clipping a limb do?

Such are the things wannabe writers worry about.

So thank you. I shall sacrifice a Hershey bar and two Cadbury Creme Eggs to your glory, Muses willing.
