Welcome back (did you notice I was gone?)

In an effort to keep cemurphy.net more regularly updated, I’ve installed WordPress blogging software, and am going to post writing-life posts here as regularly as possible. The site’s more or less functional right now, with some emphasis on the “less”; I gave myself 2 hours to do this in and I’ve got a lot of pages to convert, so I’m going to spend another 40 minutes trying to get ‘em converted and then I’m done WordPressing for the day. :) And there are still look & feel things I want to get fixed, too.

But! A win! There are now comments available here at the blog, so if people want to chat or ask questions, they’re absolutely welcome to. I hope to hear from you now and again!

In the meantime, Happy New Year!

I’ve just picked up the first of your Walker Papers books…hoping that I like it and will want to read the rest, of course! :) I’ve also ordered the Heart of Stone book via Amazon because the premise sounded so interesting…

    Greetings!

I am a fan of ‘The Walker Papers’ and remember seeing something about when/if the 4th one will be ready but I can’t remember exacts. I was wondering if you could refresh my memory or point me in the right direction to find the information.

Thanks muchly and thank you for the excellent books.

    Peace,

    - Cat.

I’ve been a sharer of spiritual awareness for
over 20 years. I recently found your books and
love how your flow of magickal realism. I feel
such books serve as links and evokers of awareness
of the many layers of being. The more we allow
of broader world view the more we open ourselves
to the energy of the evolution of consciousness. I
am going to feature your novels in an upcoming
newsletter. We are always speaking to and for
each other and you carry this energy so well. Thanks
for following your thread of being. Best to you,
    Elisabeth

PS - - oops typos - name should be Elisabeth. Also
some of the links don’t seem to simply open to a
new page. This would be useful if its possible.

    Hey, curiosity–

The fourth Walker Papers will be out in mid-2009. I’ll get that info re-posted on the blog as…soon as I get my act together. :)

Tanja, I hope you enjoy both series! :)

    Gak!

So long! Thank you kindly for the reply. I guess I have plenty of time to read up on your other series. ;)

I’ve read the first two Walkers, about to pick
up the third soon, and am halfway through the
first negotiator. Just wanted to say, WOW , and
I look forward to anything you publish with glee!
Common sense states that you can’t be a writing
machine, but please don’t blame me if I wish you
    were….

    the book beckons…

    curiosity–
*laughs* Well, I have five other books out between Walker Papers #3 and #4, so I’m *hoping* that’ll slake the CE Murphy books need, if not the actual Jo fix. :) Believe me, I’m looking forward to getting back to Jo, too. It’s been a long time!

    Ali–
I’m doing my best to be a writing machine! :) I have to say, though, I’m slowing down a little after these last couple books here are turned in, and I’ll be glad to do that. It’s been a *loooong* few years here, getting all of these books out. :)

    Marina–
I promise, I intend to keep writing for a good long time. :)

I had been wondering about Jo and her car Petite and if there was going to be any more books. Ever since i found US (Urban Shaman) i have been hooked. I just picked up Heart of Stone and all three of the Strongbox Chronicles and shall enjoy losing myself in them over the next few days. After reading The Walker Papers i have become a fan. I hope to keep reading your work for many, many years to come. I don’t mind having to wait for your next book because the great ones are worth it. I haven’t found a bad one yet.

  11. ce_murphy Says:

Neko–oh, yay, I’m glad you could find all three of the Strongbox Chronicles! I kinda like those books, and I’m always pleased to hear people can find them this long after the fact. I’m glad you’re enjoying them. thanks for letting me know. *beams*

    Hi Catie,

I’m the PR for the Forbidden Planet stores in the UK. I know you’ve been in before to sign stock for us and you kindly gave us your contact details, (you know what’s coming next!) which have been lost. Whenever you’re in London again it would be great if you could come in and sign stock again for us. As long as we have about three weeks notice we can be ready for you!
You can contact me on the email above.

    Take care

  13. EDITH FERGUSON Says:

I have just completed the Walker Papers and was very upset that Joanne and Michael did not end up together ! It would seem she was, after everything, not brave or smart enough to follow her heart.

I am dissapointed that what is supposedly a romance genre at heart would have such a let down as an ending.

  14. EDITH FERGUSON Says:

p.s. Could there possibly be a fourth book in which Joanne and Michael do get together?
I sure hope so ,as my romantic heart just can’t accept the Coyote Dreams ending.

  15. ce_murphy Says:

Hey, Edith: yes, there are more Walker Papers on the way. Book 4 will be out in May or so of 2009, and books 5 and 6 will be out in the following years. So Morrison and Jo really couldn’t get together at the end of book three…

…though I have to say that the Walker Papers are fantasy novels, not romances at all. The publisher’s parent company is a romance publisher, it’s true, but Luna is a fantasy line. Some of the books are more romantic than others, it’s true, but you find that in any genre, I think. :)
