drive-by update

I’m featured this week over at Harlequin’s paranormal romance blog, where I talk about HOUSE OF CARDS and … mostly about HOUSE OF CARDS. Go forth, if you feel so inspired, read, comment and make them think I’m a really big draw to the blog. :)

P-Con starts tomorrow! I am GoH! I think it will be fun! …I’ll be an utter *zombie* on Monday, mind you, but it’ll be fun. And Ted is on a panel about what it’s like being married to a full-time writer, which I’m quite looking forward to attending. :)

Iiiii…am closing in on 100K on THE PRETENDER’S CROWN. About…well, 2K more, technically, because I’ve got a 2000 word scene that fits in later that’s not part of the actual current build-up of words and pages. 4K in straight beginning-to-end terms. I think I’ll go write for a while longer today, and maybe I’ll get up early enough to do some work before catching the train to Dublin tomorrow. (*Maybe* I’ll actually do some work over the weekend, but mostly that thought inspired a “bahahahahah!” in me, so probably not. So it’d be nice to hit 100K by tomorrow afternoon, don’t you think?)

Jessy, the next Walker Papers will be out in Spring 2009, so it’s only a year to wait, not two. Not anymore, at least. :) I’m glad you’re enjoying the books!

Judie, thank you. I got to 100K, and it was a great weekend! :)

Yes, Coyote Dreams is a favorite of mine as well. Glad to see we don’t have to wait too long for the next book in the series!

I zipped through “Urban Shaman”, having been hooked by the first sentence, then went to every bookstore in town for “Winter Moon”, read ONLY “Banshee Cries” (and I’m a huge fan of Mercedes Lackey) and on to “Thunderbird Falls” until I finished “Coyote Dreams” last night.
Jo Walker is a seriously funny, witty character, Gary a wonderfully supportive friend, and Morrison the delicious Captain’s Morsel!!
Your covers captured my attention, the synopsis on the back cover sealed the deal. Thank you for giving us a whole new world to live in!

Oh, thank you, Pati! I’m glad the books appealed to you! The next book will be out next spring, but in the meantime I’ve been writing and publishing lots of other stuff! :)

WOW! Working hard, huh? I have a question.
What was your writing schedule before you started writing full time? When did you have time to write when you had to wake up and go to work every morning? And how do you keep focus? Don’t watch TV or rent out movie. When do you read a book? What do you do when you’re sitting infront of the computer and you’re want to do something else?

OK…That was a little longer than I expected.

PS: Just started House of Card. Love it! I have also finished all the Walker Books…and I want more. :)
