[Announcements] October Update

I've been waiting on a bunch of little things to add up to some large ones
that would make a newsletter worthwhile, and now, by George, the little
things have added up.

To begin, the most major thing:

I am *button-poppingly pleased* to announce that my publisher, Luna Books
has made me an offer on a second urban fantasy series!

The first one's titled HEART OF STONE, and the books will be released in
mass market paperback (not trade!) at the end of 2007 and in early 2008,
back to back to back.  I'm very, *very* excited about this--it's *exactly*
how I wanted them to be released--and from what I can gather, they'll will
be concurrent with the Walker Papers (I expect they'll be released between
between the 3rd and 4th Walker Papers books, as the Walker Papers seem to be
having spring/early summer releases so far), so I'll have two fantasy series
coming out!

To second:  for those of you who don't follow my journal or
cemurphyfans.com, I'm also delighted to announce that Harlequin commissioned
a short story from me.  It's being published in serial form at Harlequin's
website and can be read here:

To third: Don't miss WINTER MOON, which is hitting the shelves on October
25th!  That's the anthology that "Banshee Cries" (Book 1.5 of the Walker
Papers) is in, and I think everyone will enjoy the story!  (The other two
stories, by the inestimable Mercedes Lackey and Tanith Lee, are pretty good
too.  *laugh*  *wink*)
